Center for the Study of the Presidency and Congress

Logo for Center for the Study of the Presidency and CongressThe Center for the Study of the Presidency and Congress is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization dedicated to applying the lessons of history to the challenges of today. Founded in 1965 at the behest of President Dwight Eisenhower, the CSPC originally set out to provide case studies of presidential leadership to inform national leaders and assist policy makers in decision making. Through Triumphs and Tragedies (a series of case studies on presidential and congressional history) and Presidential Studies Quarterly (a journal of academic studies of the presidency), we maintain this original mission while expanding upon it through our reports on pressing national challenges. Among these issues are political reform, global technological competition, and national security space policy.
